Company Toshulin a.s. and material handling

Toshulin a.s. has been using our delivered products for over 2 years bridge and column cranes. Of course, their premises could not do without handling and lifting equipment. Production areas, which include a paint shop and machine tool assembly, are literally dependent on precise handling. Precision is crucial for machine tool manufacturing, both in the machining process and in material handling.

In the production halls we find 15 bridge cranes of a carrying capacity of 10 to 32 tonnes and several Column Swivel Cranes used for handling at production and assembly sites. In addition to cranes, they also have other handling equipment — several electric transport trucks, Balkancar forklifts and new Linde forklifts. There is also the original lifting equipment from Slovakia — from the companies Mostáreň Brezno and Vihorlat Snina. The age of some cranes exceeds 50 years. However, most of the older cranes are being reconstructed; overhauls have been made to the facilities, including replacement of complete cats, taxiways, and electrical armament.

What to do Firma Toshulin a.s.: Cooperation with ITECO

“Due to the need to continuously increase production and the planned expansion of the range, we were forced to consider replacing some of our existing cranes with new equipment with a higher load capacity. Through the selection process, where we approached several manufacturers, the company ITECO crystallized in terms of functionality and price, whose offer suited us in all respects. The prices of individual suppliers did not vary greatly, but the offer from ITECO still won.

Today, both of the cranes delivered are fully operational and I can say that the operation so far has given us the right choice — our choice was the right one. If I go back to the delivery itself, it was the re-fitting of two of our production ships with bridge cranes: the first with a carrying capacity of 25 tons was delivered to Assembly Ship No. 1, where our largest machines to date are assembled. We installed a second bridge crane with a carrying capacity of 32 tons in the collection ship, from where the machines are dispatched, and at the same time this crane also serves our paint shop. In addition, the crane in the first ship was designed and manufactured in such a way that it fully complied with the specific conditions of our operation, where the heating of the hall with heat emitters is located under the roof. Our inspection technician had the condition that the crane as a whole must fully comply with our temperature conditions.

Thanks to our good experience with ITECO, we will also be in demand for this company for another crane, as we continue to make further investments — we are currently in the process of planning the construction of a new hall that will be used to manufacture our largest machines — SKY 30, where the workpieces will weigh up to 60 tons. In the new hall, we expect the installation of a crane with a carrying capacity of 63 tons. “
