Today's market is so demanding that it cannot be “drunk” with false promises. Our products are available to you in the sales department trained specialistswho know the production program very well and can translate your requirements into a comprehensive offer. This includes the delivery, assembly and incorporation of the technology into the building.

After all the input parameters have been agreed by the investor, they pass the order to the implementation team of project managers, who then take care of the entire investment process up to the recovery of the crane at the site of operation. We have a team of very experienced engineers with many years of experience in the field of lifting technology.

We deal with special applications only with customers with whom we have established many years of cooperation. As one of them we can mention the Finnish firm Galvatek. Using ABUS components (or other reputable manufacturers) we are able to assemble custom applications beyond normal standards. An example is the magnetic cranes at EGE, where standard ABUS production is combined with custom applications.

Showroom — KranHaus

‍

Since 2016, a modern demonstration center has been available to our customers — KranHaus. A 1,600 m² show-room has been built at the headquarters of ABUS. This is a complete and completely real look into the complete ABUS production program, as well as an exciting spectacle of live practical demonstrations. In addition to the fact that it is a unique architectural structure, Kranhaus offers customers and technicians the exact forms of our facilities, which are used for demonstration and training purposes.

Wide production program

‍

We would like to briefly mention the wide production program of ABUS. In particular, it concerns bridge cranes single girder (ELV, ELK, ELS) and double girder (ZLK) with maximum load capacity up to 120 t. We also offer Overhead cranes DLVM and EDL, as well as alternative more specialized applications cantilever mobile cranes EWL and Semi-gantry cranes EHPK. In particular, the last two types are suitable for two-level craning of the hall.

Our other products are suspended HB systems ABUS. These modular solutions for light handling (up to 2,000 kg) are suitable for direct suspension on the trusses of the hall. It is always necessary to coordinate the crane technician and the construction designer in order to calculate the appropriate load at the installation destination. The possibilities of HB systems are many and their comprehensive program can be found on our website.

Another important and sought-after product are column and wall mounted rotary cranes. These are supplied in many configurations with a load capacity of up to 6.3 t. The complete program is again available at www.iteco.cz. As a supplementary program we have sales Lightweight Gantry LPK Cranes with a load capacity of up to 2 t, further hoists chain and rope, and ABUS components — such as travel blocks, radio remotes, overhead lines and the like.

Modernization and reconstruction

‍

An integral part of our services are also upgrades and various “retrofits” according to customer requirements for already operated ABUS cranes. The basis of a serious approach is to be able to say “no” — “no, we really don't know this.” It's much more professional than selling technology at any cost and causing irreversible problems. The most common modifications include adding crane cats, increasing load capacities, changing spans and then repositioning, adding weights, adding radio remote controls, dealing with collision conditions with other machines, etc.

It must be said that these are by type the most demanding tasks. The product specialist is dedicated exclusively to this work and, together with the manufacturer, assesses individual cases. It is not enough to focus only on the crane, but it is also necessary to assess the dimensions of related elements such as trolleys, crane tracks, etc. In case of expired life of the lifting units, we will take care of their overhaul or replacement.

Development, production

‍

It must be said unequivocally that our production facilities are located in the plant in Gummersbach, Germany. In 2011, ABUS expanded production in a newly built 15,000 m² hall. Capacity options reach up to 5,000 pcs of bridge cranes per year. Similar capacities are prepared for other products.

Service 24 hours a day

‍

For years, our service team has been performing all services to the satisfaction of our customers in the field of service, preventive programs and services in the form of inspections, revisions, inspections to comprehensive service contracts. We also provide “first aid” in the event of sudden defects that make it impossible to fulfill our customers' production obligations. By quickly intervening, we try to eliminate the losses associated with discontinued production, and at the same time we conduct awareness and urge the need for preventive care of all lifting equipment.

At this point, we find that there are still significant gaps in Czech operations. It is like with human health: if an already neglected disease is treated late, it is always more costly, longer and more expensive, if the consequences are no longer completely fatal. Prevention is therefore a basic prerequisite for reliable operation and life for both cases.

There is always one of our service technicians on standby ready for an unplanned intervention. Service cars are mainly equipped with quick-wear spare parts. Another part of the parts is in our Brno warehouse, and in case of extraordinary needs, the parts can be delivered in an accelerated manner directly from the ABUS manufacturer in Germany. Here, logically, the entire assortment of spare components is in large stock reserves. Thanks to the experience and knowledge of our technicians, the fault can be partially identified already in a telephone call. Thus, we try to arrive ready to eliminate the defect, thereby reducing the time and cost between the diagnosis of the defect and the next exit with the necessary material.

For 25 years of operation, we have been in operation with customers 6,027 of our cranes. This number suggests that there is really nothing to worry about.

‍

Our other standard services: inspection, training, work safety

‍

In addition to service, we also take care of other periodic duties, such as: inspection, mechanical and electrical inspection, inspection tests and the like. Among other more sophisticated services we provide, for example special assessment of ABUS serial lifters after 10 years and special assessment of ABUS cranes after 20 years in accordance with ČSN ISO 12482-1. In unpleasant situations that we do not wish on anyone, we are able to carry out emergency inspections after an emergency with a proposal to resolve the situation. We do everything to the satisfaction of the operators, although it is a really big commitment after 25 years.
