Functional replica of a medieval construction crane
Tattoos functional replica of a medieval construction crane powered by humans, it was made according to depictions in the Bible of Wenceslaus IV from the end of the 14th century. The crane was made by a carpenter Petr Ruzicka for the repair of the truss Royal Palace at Točník Castle.
It was produced in 2008 using traditional carpentry methods, using replicas of period carpentry tools. The basis of this machine is door driven by a pair of pedal wheels.
Thanks to its design solution, the crane was able to climb the wall without having to disassemble it. Outside the castle of Točník it was also used on Old Town Mostecke Tower, Prague Castle or castles Karlštejn and Diet.
